FİGEN AKPINAR; B.CP., M.S., Ph.D.
Received her B.CP at METU; MS in Rural Planning at the International Centre for Advance Mediterranean Agronomic Studies CIHEAM, the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Zaragoza IAMZ in Spain (1997); extended her training at METU, receiving her Ph.D. (2005). Worked as Urban Planner at the Bank of Provinces (İller Bankası) in Ankara (1986-2007). Currently employed at İzmir Institute of Technology İYTE.

ARYAN AMİRKHANİ; B.Arch., M.Arch.
Received his B.Arch. from Azad University, Tehran (2006-7); M.Arch. from the University of Tarbiat Modares (2008). Has over 50 articles and two books on Iranian and Japanese vernacular and ethics of architecture. Member of the team for urban restoration projects for Tehran Municipality (2008-9), with experience for different consultancy for Iranian engineering companies. MOJTABA ANSARİ; B.Arch., M.Arch., Ph.D.
Received his B.Arch in Interior Design (1983); M.Arch from the University of Tarbiat Modares (1989); Ph.D in Architecture from the University of Tehran (1999). The previous educational deputy at Tarbiat Modares (1985-9), he is employed as an Associate Professor and is the head of the Faculty of Art and Architecture at Tarbiat Modares University since 2004. A well known Iranian specialist in the field of architectural landscape and Persian gardens, the author of several articles. ROB ARMSTRONG; D.Tech.
Has handmade nearly 800 instruments over a 40-year career as a professional acoustic guitar maker, from his workshop in Coventry, UK. His varied clientele include Bert Jansch, Gordon Giltrap and the late George Harrison. Has a reputation as a supreme innovator, continually seeking new insights into his craft.

PARHAM BAGHAİE; B.Arch., M.Arch.
Received his B.Arch from the university of Shahid Chamran in Ahvaz (2005); M.Arch. from Tarbiat Modares University (2008). BAYKAN GÜNAY, B.CP., M.CP., Ph.D.
Educated at METU, where he is teaching at present; worked in the private and public sectors as a physical planner and tourism planning expert (1968-1981). Since 1981, is teaching theory and practice of urban physical planning and urban design at the Faculty of Architecture, and since 1996, is monitoring the urban design master program. DENİZ ŞENGEL; B.A., Ph.D.
Was an Associate Professor in the Department of Architecture, İzmir Institute of Technology İYTE. Received her academic degrees in English and Comparative Literature from BoÄŸaziçi University and New York University, respectively. Her research field comprised the continuity of the classical tradition in art, architecture and literature.

ÖMER İSKENDER TULUK; B.Arch., M.Arch., Ph.D.
Graduated from the Department of Architecture at Karadeniz Technical University KTU (1991), received his Ph.D. (1999) and is employed as an assistant professor in the same university since 2005.
