ERDEM DEMİR; B.Sc., M.Sc.
Currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Industrial Design Department of the Technical University of Delft, the Netherlands. His research focuses on users’ emotional responses in interaction with products and the cognitive processes underlying these emotions. Has graduated in 2003 from the Department of Architecture at the İzmir Institute of Technology; still continues doctoral studies as research assistant in the same Department. Currently a Ph.D. candidate of Industrial Design at İstanbul Technical University. LALE ÖZGENEL; B. Arch., M.A., Ph.D.
Received her B.Arch, M.A. in History of Architecture and Ph.D. in Architecture from METU. Has done post-graduate studies on ancient domestic architecture and daily life in the American School of Classical Studies in Athens, Oxford University, and American Academy at Rome. Her research interests also include history and development of domestic architecture and daily life in pre-20th century and thematic research on gender, privacy, and space in historical domestic contexts. ASHRAF M. SALAMA; B.Sc., M.Sc., Ph.D.
Professor of Architecture currently teaching at Qatar University; previously taught at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals-KFUPM, KSA; a practicing architect in Egypt trained at Al Azhar University and North Carolina State University. Was the Director of Research and Consulting at Adams Group Consultants in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA (2001-04); the former Chairman of the Department of Architecture, Misr International University in Cairo (1996-01); and member of the scientific boards of several international journals. Widely published and has written numerous articles and papers in international conferences, archival journals and magazines; authored and co-edited the books Architectural Education: Designing the Design Studio, Human Factors in Environmental Design, and recently co-authored Architectural Education Today in Switzerland, and Architecture as Language of Peace in Italy, and Design Studio Pedagogy: Horizons for the Future. NERİMAN ÅžAHİN GÜÇHAN; B.Arch., M.Sc., Ph.D.
Received B.Arch.(1983), M.S.in Restoration (1986), Ph.D.in Restoration (1995) at METU Faculty of Architecture; where she is currently an Associate Professor. FİKRET ZORLU; B.CP., M. UD., Ph.D.
Graduated from METU Faculty of Architecture, Department of City and Regional Planning (1996), where he completed his graduate studies (M.UD., 1999; Ph.D., 2006). Works as Assistant Professor at Mersin Üniversitesi, Department of City and Regional Planning.
