Güzin Şen is an Assistant Professor at Middle East Technical University (METU) Department of Industrial Design.
She holds a B.ID (2012) and an MSc degree (2014) in Industrial Design from METU and a PhD degree in Industrial Design (2019) from University of Liverpool. Her PhD research was conducted in collaboration with Bentley Motors and Virtual Engineering Centre, supported by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) and focused on the design and experience prototyping of passenger-oriented luxury automotive infotainment solutions using virtual reality (VR). Dr. Şen contributes to the undergraduate and postgraduate courses Basic Design, Design Communication, Aesthetics in Product Design and User Experience. Her current research areas cover aesthetics of interaction, visual communication and experience prototyping techniques, extended reality (XR) and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in design.
She is also the co-director of the BİLTİR-UTEST Product Usability Test Unit.
