Received his degree as an architect from the Universidad del Valle (1996), a graduate masters’ degree in the history and theory of art and architecture (2004), a second graduate masters’ degree in architecture (2008), both from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, and a PhD in architecture from Delft University of Technology (2018). Major research interests include scientific methodologies for the appraisal of the growth and development of architectural knowledge, especially in relation to democratic principles and practices.
