Received his degrees at METU Faculty of Architecture in 1978, 1981 and 2000 respectively. Now retired, was the Dean of METU Faculty of Architecture (2012-2015), and TEDU Faculty of Architecture (2015-2021). Was the Editor of the METU Journal of Faculty of Architecture (2002- 2012). Teaches at undergraduate and graduate design studios and lectures on housing design and history of architecture
