Received her B. Arch and M. Arch from the Department of Architecture, Middle East Technical University, she obtained her Doctoral Degree in Early Christian and Byzantine Art and Archeology from the Pontificio Istituto di Archeologia Cristiana (PIAC), Rome. Among numerous publications, she is the author of the book Early Christian and Byzantine Churches at Iasos in Caria: An Architectural Survey, Città del Vaticano 2004. Her research interests include Late Antique and Byzantine art and architecture, interpretation and representation of material culture, archaeology and heritage.
