Received his B.Eng. in the Department of Geological Engineering at Dokuz Eylül University, Faculty of Engineering in 1992. Earned his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences of Dokuz Eylül University. Major research interests include groundwater resources, groundwater contamination, hydrogeochemistry, geothermal energy and engineering geology.
