Received her B.Arch from Gazi University Faculty of Architecture in 1986, M.A. in restoration from Middle East Technical University in 1991. Earned her Ph.D. degree in architecture from the University of Manchester School of Architecture in 1996. Her research interests include environmental psychology, image sensation and perception, meaning of space, existential space, regionalism and place identity
