Received her bachelor’s degree in architecture from Mimar Sinan University in 2000 and her master’s degree in conservation of cultural heritage from Yıldız Technical University in 2003. Earned her PhD. degree in conservation of cultural heritage from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University (2012). Major research interests include theory and history of conservation, conservation of 20th century architecture, and critical heritage studies.
