She received her bachelor’s degree (1988) from Hacettepe University, Department of Archaeology and Art History, and her master’s (1991) and PhD. (2000) degrees from Hacettepe University, Department of Art History. Her main research interests include the history of art and architecture, pre-Islamic Turkish architecture, and Turkish-Islamic architecture.
