Received her bachelor of city planning at METU, her Master’s degree at the University of Waterloo in Canada, and her PhD degree at METU. She worked in the urban transformation projects as a planner. Her research interest areas include institutional aspects of city and regional planning, regional development institutions, women and the city, and urban transformation. She has carried out a number of research projects and published in these areas.
